How Stick PCs will Change the Future?

You are on a vacation with your family out in a secluded place. You are sitting on the beach relaxing, and suddenly you get a call from your boss who tells you that you need to finish some transcripts urgently because of an emergency situation back home.  You don’t have your laptop with you and no matter how powerful your Smartphone is; it still is a phone. If only you had your trusty desktop with you right now. What do you do? You go back to hotel room, take out the small pen drive sized device from your bags small pocket, plug it into the HD TV in your room and voila you have your desktop in front of you. This is what having a stick PC will feel like

The latest technology in the market right now is the device called sticks PC. These small pen drive sized devices pack what your standard desktop has into 11 cms of tech that you can carry anywhere in the back pocket of your shorts anywhere you go. Most of these devices weigh less than 40 grams and are not even 12 cm long. Stick PCs have been in the market for a while but normally went unnoticed because of the shabby hardware they have and the buggy Android patches that usually run on them. But recent times have changed it with many tech giants taking an interest in this technology with loads of potential.

One should not go to the size of these windows stick PCs as they as pack enough punch to help you do all your day to day tasks with ease. Most of these devices are powered by Intel Atom Quad core processors and 2 Gb of Ram which is more than sufficient to help you edit your documents, browse the internet and even perform multimedia tasks on the go. They also come with an onboard storage of up to 32 Gb that can be extended via Micro Sd Cards and all the latest connectivity options like WiFi b/g/n. All you have to do is connect these devices to any HDMI enabled display you have, and it’ll turn them into fully functional personal computers.

Intel, among many other big companies, is set to launch its sticks pcs running both Linux and Windows called the Compute stick. These Intel Linux and Intel Compute Stick for Windows are soon set to hit the market with many other windows stick PCs from various companies in this year.
